Sound Blocks Usage
rest for 0.25 beats This block is used to rest the sound for the specific number of beats
play note 60 for 0.5 beatsThis block plays a musical note for a specified number of beats. Observe that higher numbers are used to set higher pitches.
set instrument to 1By using this block, you can set the type of instrument used by a sprite to play notes. Note that every sprite in Scratch has it's own instrument.
change volume by-10This block changes the volume of the sound that the sprite is playing.It is used with other sound blocks in a script.
set volume to 100% By using this block,you can set the volume of the sound by percentage.
change the tempo by 20This block is used to change the tempo of the sound by using the metric bpm,i.e., beats per minute
set tempo to 60 bpm This block is used to set the tempo of the sound by using the metric bpm,i.e., beats per minute
volume and tempoThe volume and tempo blocks display the value of volume and the tempo of a sound, respectively,on the stage that is being used in the current Scratch project

TEMPO

The tempo determine the speed with which scratch plays sound its also referred to as to beat and is available under the sound block category.the metric use with it is bpm i.e beats per minute.A tempo of 60 beats oer minute are beat per second whike tempo of 120 bpm one beat every o.5 second so it can be conculded the higher the valu of tempo more will be the speed sound on the other hands smiler value signfiles lower speed.
